Treehouse Stage — Firefly Music Festival

Dover, DE, USA. June 2015. The Treehouse stage was designed as an intimate music space in the Woodlands for artists to perform second sets to smaller crowds. Tasks included ideation, 3D modeling, drafting construction documents, and acting as onsite construction supervisor for the build. I also collaborated with the in-house graphic design team for branding and logo creation for the space. The stage has held acts to the like of Travis Barker, Citizen Cope, GroupLove and many more.

Ideation

Ideation

The concept of Treehouse Sessions was built from the foundational idea of connecting people, music and nature. The simplistic design not only acts as a platform for artists, but also blends seamlessly into its unique wooded surroundings.

Beauty in the Details

Beauty in the Details

With a simplistic design that allows for the grounds and performance to come first, the beauty of this build came in fine tuning the details. The honeycomb back wall creates a layer of complexity to a static piece, and provides a series of angles that become enhanced by light during night performances. The board orientation was intentionally laid to aid in emphasizing the height changes and movement created by the lines of the stage.
